Project Overview

The Shetland Gas Plant (SGP) was designed to exploit the Laggan and Tormore Gas Fields which were discovered 125 kilometres to the North West of the Shetland Islands. Randridge were awarded the Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecommunications work package for SGP estimated to be complete in just under 500,000 man hours. As the job grew, Randridge were subsequently awarded additional scope work packages, based on their positive onsite performance and onsite requirements.

Additional Scope

The electrical work in all shelter buildings was passed to Randridge, having proved our ability to deliver quality manpower on demand. Our Structural Steel Crew was formed with the remit of fabricating and installing the thousands of mounting bracketry that was required to be added to the vendor supplied steelwork. Latterly the Vendor Punch List Crew was formed to deal with problems found on equipment that had been supplied to site.

Project Achievements

Randridge involvement on SGP surpassed 1,500,000 man hours completed with the enviable safety record of 0 Lost Time Incidents.
